Talbert Homes & More adheres to quality performance standards that both Mike Talbert and the homeowner can use to communicate and understand each other's expectations. Our unique design/build process enables us to eliminate problems before construction even begins, so your homebuilding experience is enjoyable.

Building will be fun & easy with our simple step-by-step process!


We will schedule an initial consultation to discuss construction possibilities, construction budgets, preferred location to build, architectural style, and design that fit's the individual needs of your family. Your ideas, taste, style, and wishes are noted to enable us to design and build a home specific to your lifestyle. We will answer any questions you might have, and explain all costs involved in the construction of your new home. (The Talbert Group construction fee is simple: the cost of construction plus 10% fee =(equals) guaranteed contract price.)

Step 2

Based on the information received at our consultation; a meeting is scheduled with Complete Design (areas #1 home design company) to begin preliminary drawings of your new home. With help from Mike Talbert, you will specify what features and interior materials you would like to see in your new home; such as number of bedrooms, bathrooms, preferences of exterior materials, ect. After the preliminary plans are completed, you will have the opportunity to make any necessary changes such as adding bathrooms, moving walls, ect. (You will be responsible for paying the design firm for the preliminary plans.)

Step 3

If you already have a complete set of construction plans drawn to scale, (¼ inch to 1 foot,) you may eliminate step 2.

Step 4

Once all changes, if any, have been made and you have approved the preliminary plans, Mike Talbert will personally meet with a select few of the tri-states "best" suppliers and sub-contractors to discuss all materials and labor that will go into the construction of your new home. These suppliers and sub-contractors will present their cost estimates to the Talbert Group which will be used to accurately estimate the total construction cost.

Step 5

After the total costs have been determined, we will compile our customized TALBERT PRESENTATION MANUAL. This manual will be presented to you and discussed in its entirety. Our innovative manual presents everything up front. There are many choices to make and so many exciting possibilities. That is why it is so important to make the right decisions from the beginning. Our unique manual is the way of controlling the problem of running over budget, and outlines the necessary decisions you must make to stay on schedule. The content rich manual holds a copy of everything from our construction agreement, to our 11-page summary of building specifications, allowance and selection sheets, and interior and exterior selections as well as supplier and subcontractor contacts. The 15 page computerized line item cost breakdown of total construction will be discussed line by line.

Step 6

Following all necessary approvals and agreements. Talbert Homes & More will secure all permits to begin construction of the place you will call home.
